Leading regional participants in the aviation and travel industries from the public and private sectors will attend the 10th Arab Aviation Summit, which will be held in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, from March 14–16, 2023. Impactful Sustainability in Contemporary Travel and Tourism is the focus of this summit. Through constructive discussion, the summit will help the state of Arab aviation. It is an industry effort. By promoting its travel and tourist opportunities, the summit, which is held in several places, serves as a catalyst for increasing destination awareness of the host city.
The three-day summit, themed “Impactful sustainability in modern travel and tourism,” will explore decarbonizing pathways in aviation and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the industry with the continued rise of disruptive technologies. It will bring together a distinguished group of thought-leaders, innovators, and industry experts. Prominent figures from the regional and international aviation and travel sectors will deliver motivational keynote presentations and take part in lively panel discussions that delve deeply into industry best practices, sustainable business models, regional trends in aviation and tourism, and more.
Prominent speakers at the event include H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Marwan Al Maktoum, first lieutenant pilot of the Dubai Police Airwing; H.E Raki Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA); H.E. Ilin Dimitrov, Minister of Tourism, Republic of Bulgaria, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia and Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General, Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO).
Ted O’Byrne, CEO of AviLease, and Mikail Houari, President of Africa and the Middle East at Airbus, will address the fundamentals of airline economics under the pillar of sustainability in a panel discussion with other industry professionals. The aviation, travel, and tourism industries’ paths to net zero will be discussed by Val Miftakhov, founder and CEO of ZeroAvia, a company developing the first practical zero emission aviation powertrain. Andreas Slettvoll, CEO of Choose, will take part in a discussion on the emergence of the next generation traveler and share his insights on how the industry is preparing for the future of travel. Dr. Fethi Chebil, the CEO and Founder of VPORTS, will share his perspective on how modern air travel will change the way that airports, airlines, and travel operations are run.
